The community workbench

Find the answer before you turn the wrench.

Thirty years of Sterling and Nova knowledge was scattered across forums that go offline and photo hosts that delete albums. We gathered all of it into one place: free, searchable, and yours.

The registry

Is your car in here?

Claim your serial number and you get a page for your car: its history, its photographs, what you have done to it, and everything the archive already knows about it. A service record that outlives any one owner.

No formula turns one of these numbers into a build date. Anyone who says otherwise is guessing. This checks your number against every car we have a record of.

Garage guides

Use it in the shop

Guides built out of the preserved manuals and the questions owners have actually asked one another over thirty years. They are references assembled from source material, not factory manuals, and each one says where every part of it came from.

Give it back

This archive is as good as what people send it

Photographs, a manual nobody has scanned, a magazine clipping, a correction, or the name of someone who was there. You do not need to own one of these cars, and there is no password to remember.
