Every car we know of
Seeded from the historical registry and added to by owners. A car stays here whoever owns it, so the record outlives any one owner.
About these numbers. They are not all the same kind of thing. Some are factory serials, some are the number on a builder's plaque, some were written down by an owner decades later. Twenty of the cars carried over from the historical registry have no usable number at all. The archive records what was recorded and does not guess at the rest, and it has never established a formula that turns one of these numbers into a build date.
